KF.STUDIO — a logo for a live-streaming studio
Refreshed the logo of a Moscow live-streaming studio: a minimalist wordmark and a direction for developing the brand style. From the briefing and competitor analysis to handing over the full package — the logo and icon are still in use at the studio today.

Context and task
KF.studio is a Moscow live-streaming studio: it runs broadcasts of events across the country, from corporate events for Yandex Practicum, Megafon, and Rostelecom to government conferences. It works both in its own studio and at client venues; the team's flexibility and stream quality set it apart.
The brief was a new logo to replace the old one, which the client decided to drop entirely: a minimalist wordmark and a direction that would help the studio stand out from competitors.
My role
Graphic designer on the project: briefing, analysis of the niche and competitors' visuals, developing and hand-refining the options, presenting to the client, and handing over the final package in every format.
Key decisions
Moved away from the niche's palette.
Competitor research showed that red, blue, and violet dominate the niche. I dropped the previous logo's color palette and took the options into colors rare for the niche — so the studio would stand out next to anyone.
The wordmark — a hand-refined ASTERA.
I took the ASTERA typeface as a base and refined it: kerning, letterforms, and proportions — so "KF.STUDIO" would read as a single cohesive composition, with no jumps between characters.
The icon — from an interim version of the logo.
One of the interim versions resonated with the client so strongly, conceptually, that it became the brand icon: a video camera silhouette with the letters KF in negative space.
Color as a direction for growth.
I handed over the logo and icon as a full package without a rigid color system; later I sketched out color-scheme options for the studio, and they picked one up and ran with it themselves. In the case I show the development in yellow — rare for the niche and more cohesive: this is my proposal for developing the brand style.

Result
Approval went in short iterations: I'd show options — the founder would break down what worked and what didn't — I'd clarify with follow-up questions and go back to refine the strong directions, dropping the clear "no"s. Over several rounds, ten options accumulated; two stuck — the final wordmark and the future icon. The package was handed over in full and is still in use today — on the kf.studio website, and in the studio's Telegram and VK.
